Global and local industry advocates throw weight behind Automechanika Jakarta as visitor registration opens

3 Jul 2026

Automechanika Jakarta 2026 is gaining significant momentum within the regional automotive community, buoyed by an extensive network of international and local supporters who pledged a strong commitment to the debut show. With the fair set to take place from 24 to 27 September at the Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE), visitor pre-registration has opened for industry players to build international industry connections and explore opportunities in the Indonesian automotive market.

In September, Automechanika Jakarta will debut to the Indonesian market, providing essential opportunities for trading, knowledge exchange, driving innovation, strategic partnerships, and cross‑border collaboration. By uniting diverse government agencies, associations, and businesses across the automotive supply chain, the show contributes to shaping the future of Indonesia’s automotive sector and the wider region. This also includes advocacy from leading industry association globally and from Indonesia and a programme facilitating industry growth to reinforce the platform’s role as a gateway to the region’s fastest growing automotive market.

Fuelling Indonesia’s role as a regional automotive powerhouse
Thus far, the fair has garnered strong endorsements from across the global and local supply chain. Leading Indonesian bodies taking a unified effort to elevate the domestic sector, include:

  • AISMOLI – Indonesia Electric Motorcycle Industry Association
  • APROBI – Indonesia Biofuel Producer Association
  • GATOMI – Indonesian Automotive Aftermarket Association
  • PAHAMI – Indonesian Car Accessories Entrepreneurs Association
  • PERDIPPI – Association of Indonesian Lubricants Distributors, Importers and Producers
  • PERIKLINDO – Indonesian Electric Vehicle Industry Association

GATOMI takes a led in standardising and advancing the aftermarket business by representing manufacturers of automotive accessories, spare parts, and components across Indonesia. Mr Ayong Jeo, Chief of GATOMI, said: “Automechanika is a major global exhibition with a strong presence in East and Southeast Asia including China, Malaysia, and Vietnam. The exhibition series debuting in Indonesia marks an important step for the country’s industry. As the market features a large share of used vehicles, the aftermarket sector remains a vital area with significant potential. Rapidly changing demands, like increased interest in safety products such as DVRs, highlight the need to stay updated. Automechanika Jakarta will provide a key platform for learning about the latest technology, innovations and global industry connections. We support the show and will invite our members to participate.”

The show also welcomes Astra Otoparts, Indonesia’s leading automotive component manufacturer and distributor, as a strategic partner. The group will showcase an extensive range of spare parts for both two‑wheelers and four-wheelers, including the renowned GS Astra and Aspira brands. Timur Raya Anugerah Damai, a prominent local automotive parts and components distributor, also joins as a gold sponsor, and presents a wide selection of parts and accessories for cars and industrial vehicles from Japan and other international markets.

International support and perspectives on Indonesia’s promising market
Automechanika Jakarta reinforces its global reach and alignment of international trends with international associations also making a commitment to the show. These include:

  • AAMPACT − The International Independent Aftermarket Association (Germany)
  • ADPA − European Independent Automotive Data Publishers Association (Belgium)
  • ASA − Federal Association of Manufacturers and Importers of Automobile Service Equipment (Germany)
  • EGEA − European Garage Equipment Association (Belgium)
  • EMPTA – Selangor and Federal Territory Engineering and Motor Parts Traders’ Association (Malaysia)
  • FAWOAM – Federation of Automobile Workshop Owners’ Association of Malaysia
  • FIGIEFA − International Federation of Automotive Aftermarket Distributors (Belgium)
  • JAMTA − Japan Automotive Machinery and Tool Manufacturers Association
  • MUVATA – Malaysia Used Vehicle Autoparts Traders Association

JAMTA, one of the international supporters for Automechanika shows in Southeast Asia, represents manufacturers of automotive service equipment. The association promotes innovation, standardisation, and international collaboration within the sector. Mr Masami Yamada, President of JAMTA, said: “Indonesia’s dynamic market offers strong growth potential, with Japanese brands firmly established in motorcycles and automobiles. As the market expands, opportunities for local production and deeper distributor partnerships will increase. Automechanika Jakarta will provide a valuable platform to strengthen these collaborations and support industry growth.”
